Ventsafe 19 Safety coupling

Ventsafe 19 quick release safety coupling with dual lock protection for compressed air and pneumatic applications.

The Ventsafe 19 coupling is interchangeable with PCL Standard profile and Rectus 19 - the most widely used quick release coupling type in the UK across garage, automotive and industrial sectors.

Connection and disconnection is a two stage process.

To connect - 1. insert the plug (very little force required as there is no pressure in the coupling at this stage) - this moves the locking ring to the forward position. 2. move the sleeve forwards - this opens the air supply and connection is made. The sleeve position means that the locking ring cannot be moved so accidental disconnection under pressure is not possible.

To disconnect - 1. move the sleeve back - this cuts off the air supply and vents the downstream air. 2. move the locking ring to the back position - the plug is then released safely as there is no pressure.

This is a robustly designed coupling which can be used on fixed installations or trailing hose ends alike.

This coupling is "single shut off" which means that on disconnection the downstream side is vented to atmosphere.

The Ventsafe coupling incorporates a high flow valve for optimal efficiency and low pressure drop.
