Description
Compressor couplings, Claw couplings or Double lock universal European style quick release couplings according to DIN 3489 (sometimes also known as a 'crows foot' coupling)
These couplings are very widely used in construction, plant and other types of industry for compressed air and other applications.
This is a 'straight through' coupling – when separated the air on both sides is vented to atmosphere so normally the hose should be vented before disconnection.
To connect or disconnect press the two halves together and rotate through 45 degrees.
Available with BSPT Male taper and BSP Female parallel threads 3/8” - 1” and hose tail 3/8” to 1” inside diameter hose. All sizes and types have the same head dimensions and are interchangeable.
Each coupling includes a rubber insert and spare rubber inserts can be ordered separately.
The use of whipchecks (see related products) is recommended when using this type of coupling.
We can also supply custom made air hose assemblies using this type of fitting with optional certificate of test and label with batch number for traceability.
