Long established British softwood sawmillers Adam Wilson & Sons Ltd of Troon, Ayrshire, operate one of the most technologically advanced mills in Europe.  Producing in excess of 120,000 cubic metres of sawn softwood per annum, the company supply timber for the Construction, Fencing, Pallet and Packaging markets.

At regular intervals, production had to be stopped to strip down a cylinder operating one of the clamping arms on a saw because of a build up of water in the cylinder.

"We were losing an unacceptable amount of production time due to the malfunction of the clamping arm cylinder" Wilson's Maintenance Manager Tobbe Sandberg said  "With millions invested in sawmilling, drying, maching and treatment equipment, we had to find a solution fast" stressed Tobbe.

"In January 2004 we fitted an Eliminizer® in front of the clamping arm cylinder and since then we've had no downtime or lost production an that saw" Tobbe added.  "We were so impressed with the Eliminizer that last April we installed an Eliminizer® to another saw.  If anyone has a problem with water in their compressed air, I would recommend fitting an Eliminizer®.  They have more than paid for themselves in reduced downtime" revealed Tobbe.

The unit fitted at Adam Wilson was 1/2" BSPP providing an optimum flow of 17 scfm.
